Mark your calendar! Aunt Sally's Pralines and Dutch Alley Artists Co-op in the French quarter host an evening filled with food, music and art!
Saturday, September 12
Aunt Sally's will be serving ice-cream with fresh praline topping to help cool the night off and Dutch Alley will be handing out Aunt Sally's pralines. While you endulge on tunes and treats, feast your eyes on impeccable art from the following artists:
Works in multimedia, creating edgy yet restrained, story-based pieces with vintage photographs, frames, and found objects like old toys.
Juliette Hare O'Connor
Draws on her New Orleans heritage to create moody, nostalgic assemblage work that includes shrines and eerie fetish pieces.
Inspired by South Louisiana and the creatures that inhabit it, she paints beautiful, local landscapes and creates one-of-a-kind dolls from little bits of fabric, felt, netting and rick-rack.
Her 3D multimedia sculptures combine clay, wood, metal, wire, and found objects to create works that often deal with dark subjects and religious themes.
Works in a variety of media. He has garnered acclaim for some of his dreamy, acrylic-on-canvas New Orleans scenes.
She makes colorful photographic digital art and accessories, specializing in New Orleans, custom homes and pet photos. By combing her love of art, design and photography with a vast array of vibrant colors Nicole turns ordinary scenes into serendipitous designs.
Known as a master-potter, Debbie's style is inspired by nature and found objects. She owns DK Clay, a retail and teaching pottery studio.
We're also excited to have Rick Tobey of the Chickenhead Blues performing at Dutch Alley. The sweet sounds of jazz will be played by Saxophonist Matthew at Aunt Sally's.
Come join us. We can't wait to see you!
