Aunt Sally’s Pralines began in 1935 when Diane and Pierre Bagur opened a small shop in the New Orleans French Quarter where they and their four children would all work together to make and sell their confections to passersby. In just a few generations, Aunt Sally’s Pralines is now a multi-million-dollar business known all across the country and the globe as the place to enjoy a genuine New Orleans Praline.
Our pralines are made daily at our production facility on historic St. Charles Avenue. We use fresh cream, cane sugar, and Louisiana pecans, and we hand pour the candy from a copper pot, letting it air cool into distinctly traditional shapes. This may be why every bite tastes and feels like a well-deserved indulgent treat. The Creole Original praline is loved throughout the world, and we have stuck with our original recipe for the last 81 years.
With growth and expansion in recent years, Aunt Sally’s Pralines now also offers several versions of the classic recipe, selling “creamy” and “chewy” versions of the candy, and more adventurous varieties such as “Bananas Foster”, “Café au Lait”, and “Sugar & Spice”, in partnership with another legendary Louisiana brand, Tabasco.
