Steen’s was established with their Cane Syrup in 1910 in Abbeville, Louisiana, about 150 miles west of New Orleans. Today, Steen’s is one of the few family-owned cane-syrup facilities still operating in the country, and their products are loyally used by both home cooks and the most accomplished Louisiana chefs.

Steen's Pure Cane Syrup is the iconic product that started the whole company over 100 years ago, and just as they started, they still harvest their ripened cane to the sweetest state of maturity. The cane is then ground and the syrup extracted. Steen's Pure Cane Syrup is then slow-simmered in open kettles until it's just the right clarity and consistency. No additives, no preservatives, no synthetic flavoring, no food coloring, no added sugars.
